I just had some duality lights and a lower grille light bar installed on aux switches 1-3 and I just tried them out while driving and noticed when I flip them on while listening to the radio it causes interference and the radio quality goes bad....like when you have a bad radio signal. Has anyone else had this issue or did the guy who installed them screw something up? It happens when either is flipped but really gets bad when aux 3 is on. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

hmmmm haven't experienced this. As long as he used the pass through wires that are there and didn't tap into another wire to get to the aux switch everything should be fine.

i would check to see where he grounded the lights.. more than likely he picked some random bolt instead of taking the negative back to the battery.

check power as well. if power was tapped in on the radio accessory wire and not ignition wire then you can definitely have noise issues too. also check and see if they used relays. with high current devices you usually go to the battery and use a relay off an ignition source that would eliminate almost any chance of interference

I have interference with my Vision X fog lights on my #3 switch... not the main bar #2.

I wired it all from the battery for power. Neg go to preexisting ground bolts.

what kind of interference? through the radio? does it get louder when rpms get higher?

i would double check the wiring. if it still is generating noise after that you can use a relay ($2) to tap into a different power source, or a noise filter (less than $10) for power and ground

thanks everyone for the fast response to this issue. Clearly something was wired wrong so I am going to have them check into that and possibly use a relay. Thanks again and this forum is the best as everyone is so helpful!
