2019 802a with a loose side view mirror

Truck has about 5k on it. Noticed that the side view mirror wobbles front to back. Like it needs to be tightened. No damage to the mirror at all. Have taken it through a car wash a month ago. The mirror can extend forward and all the way tucked in with no weird noise. Wondering if there is a screw I can tighten. Hate taking it in because I don’t trust the techs working on it, but doesn’t appear to be an easy solution.

Is it the “housing” or the mirror itself?

ETA: are these the motorized mirror housing or manual folding?

Housing. Not motorized.

Sounds like something wrong with the spring mechanism that compresses the mirror housing to the door mount.

I googled 2019 f-150 side view diagram and it appears that it’s one part number with no apparent access to the mechanism. Sorry I couldn’t find more.

I may be wrong, but seems like I remember reading that folding them, with the button, then unfolding them will help. Good luck.

Cool. I fold mine at least once a week anyway, have never noticed any looseness.
