Hello everyone, it's been 8-10 years since I was hanging out here...2011 CC-- As the title says, the a/c blows cold and then it blows outside air temp, maybe 10 minutes each way. The compressor seems to stays running. Gotta have a/c in Arizona summers...lol. Anyone have an idea?
I also have both Trucks. I drove raptors for years, only using the 350 (dually) for towing. Then I put a tuner on the 350 and I'm back in love! Now all I drive is the dually. It's a 4x crew cab with the long bed so it stretches-out very nicely and provides a great platform. I would never talk...
I would wait on airing-down your tires. IMO, The best way to go here is to continue sharpening your driving skills on the washboard roads but before each run take-out a lb of air. This way you'll be at the top of your game when you finally reach the magic number. Think Baja, money & women!
That tranny problem happened back at 80,000 miles and I have a 5,000 mile memory. It was either going from 1st to second or second to third gear. It shifted fairly hard or at least hard enough to know there was a definitely a problem happening.
I agree that any warranty needs to be purchased from the Ford Dealership. I try to look at these things from the other side -- Ford has crunched the numbers and is betting you will not be pulling-out more money than you paid for the warranty, or they would lose money of course. I would go with...
I don't know the answer to your question but I can tell you that I put a 5-Star tune on my 2011 shortly after I purchased the truck new and both the truck and tuner have held-up flawlessly over the years.
Plasti-dip info says a coating is about 12 mils thick or the equivalent of 4-5 brushed paint coatings. For reference, a cheap visqueen plastic sheeting is 4 mils so it adds-up pretty quickly, depending on how many coats you will need but I don't think the thickness would present much of a...
Gotta do something 'cause blue & orange just ain't gonna git it! I have the orange interior (which was a screw-up by Ford on the order) and black exterior. I have learned to live with the orange seats but I couldn't get laid if I had orange trimmed wheels. Well, maybe on Halloween...
I put my Bakflip on in 2011 or 2012, so after 7-8 years it's still looking and operating great. Very little fade and I'm in the Phoenix area. Only (small) problem is the exposed hardware (rings) have rusted. I'm guessing Bakflip has probably changed to s/s on these covers.
I'm guessing 300k is very doable. The engine just loafs around in the low RPMs, so I'm guessing the body and frame will fall apart long before the engine says goodbye.
A real pain in the ass. I live about a mile in of dirt road and the interior of the truck can get mighty dusty. I immediately planned to add wx-stripping but haven't quite got around to it. It's only been about 8 years, so there's still time.
I must be the winner at 197,000 miles on a 2011! I purchased the truck new and have enjoyed it thoroughly. The reason I keep the truck is because not much happens to it and I still like it a lot. I had an A/C problem at 180k that acted like the blend door actuator but that problem turned-out to...
Hi everyone. I'm selling a set of 4 OEM Raptor 315/70 - R17 wheels and tires. BF Goodrich tires with about 60--65% of tread remaining. I'm asking $900 and I live in the Phoenix area.
I have a 2011 with high mileage and have not had any problems.
I think what is most important in looking to buy a vehicle with 3 previous owners and 70K miles, is to get an idea of how it was treated and what it was used for. I'm guessing owner #1 traded after 2 years of ownership, #2...
I'm guessing your door problem will be back. I have 80K miles on mine and it pops up periodically. The dealer "lubes" the door and that helps for a few miles. Usually it's the rear right door but sometimes the passenger door.
I think there is a big write-up on this subject around here...
