    Shocks / Rebuilt ???

New shocks are crazy expensive, so I'm about to pull the trigger with a local shock re-builder. Anyone with experience having this done?

    A/C Intermittent cool Problem

Also, I should mention at start-up, the blend does its clicking noise for a few seconds.

    A/C Intermittent cool Problem

Thanks for your response. Yes on both questions -- the clutch is engaged and the recirc light stays on when the a/c is blowing hot air.

    A/C Intermittent cool Problem

Hello everyone, it's been 8-10 years since I was hanging out here...2011 CC-- As the title says, the a/c blows cold and then it blows outside air temp, maybe 10 minutes each way. The compressor seems to stays running. Gotta have a/c in Arizona summers...lol. Anyone have an idea?

Love the Raptor, but miss my F350 Diesel...

I also have both Trucks. I drove raptors for years, only using the 350 (dually) for towing. Then I put a tuner on the 350 and I'm back in love! Now all I drive is the dually. It's a 4x crew cab with the long bed so it stretches-out very nicely and provides a great platform. I would never talk...

Washboard Dirt Roads = Major Problems

I would wait on airing-down your tires. IMO, The best way to go here is to continue sharpening your driving skills on the washboard roads but before each run take-out a lb of air. This way you'll be at the top of your game when you finally reach the magic number. Think Baja, money & women!

That tranny problem happened back at 80,000 miles and I have a 5,000 mile memory. It was either going from 1st to second or second to third gear. It shifted fairly hard or at least hard enough to know there was a definitely a problem happening.

2018 Shelby raptor is it worth it?

$90,000 for a used half-ton pickup...wow, is this a great country or what??

To buy or not to buy aExtended warranty for a high milage Gen1

I agree that any warranty needs to be purchased from the Ford Dealership. I try to look at these things from the other side -- Ford has crunched the numbers and is betting you will not be pulling-out more money than you paid for the warranty, or they would lose money of course. I would go with...

GEN 2 5 Star Tuning Reviews

I don't know the answer to your question but I can tell you that I put a 5-Star tune on my 2011 shortly after I purchased the truck new and both the truck and tuner have held-up flawlessly over the years.

Need Opinions on Bead Lock wheels

Plasti-dip info says a coating is about 12 mils thick or the equivalent of 4-5 brushed paint coatings. For reference, a cheap visqueen plastic sheeting is 4 mils so it adds-up pretty quickly, depending on how many coats you will need but I don't think the thickness would present much of a...

Need Opinions on Bead Lock wheels

Gotta do something 'cause blue & orange just ain't gonna git it! I have the orange interior (which was a screw-up by Ford on the order) and black exterior. I have learned to live with the orange seats but I couldn't get laid if I had orange trimmed wheels. Well, maybe on Halloween...

Installed Bakflip MX4 - love this thing

I put my Bakflip on in 2011 or 2012, so after 7-8 years it's still looking and operating great. Very little fade and I'm in the Phoenix area. Only (small) problem is the exposed hardware (rings) have rusted. I'm guessing Bakflip has probably changed to s/s on these covers.

Ahhhh...I missed that, thx. Makes me feel better with my 215k miles. Almost every mile of that was with the 5-star tuner also.

Wow!! We have a winner! Is that 363k on the original engine?

High mileage owners please check in

I'm guessing 300k is very doable. The engine just loafs around in the low RPMs, so I'm guessing the body and frame will fall apart long before the engine says goodbye.

    GEN 1 Missing Door WeatherStrip?

A real pain in the ass. I live about a mile in of dirt road and the interior of the truck can get mighty dusty. I immediately planned to add wx-stripping but haven't quite got around to it. It's only been about 8 years, so there's still time.

Oops, I missed that odometer post with the 215k miles...he's 17,000 miles ahead of me...I better get busy and chalk-up some more miles!

High mileage owners please check in

I must be the winner at 197,000 miles on a 2011! I purchased the truck new and have enjoyed it thoroughly. The reason I keep the truck is because not much happens to it and I still like it a lot. I had an A/C problem at 180k that acted like the blend door actuator but that problem turned-out to...

Picking up my 11 Screw this weekend!!

I have a 2011 with high mileage and have not had any problems. I think what is most important in looking to buy a vehicle with 3 previous owners and 70K miles, is to get an idea of how it was treated and what it was used for. I'm guessing owner #1 traded after 2 years of ownership, #2...

    Unbelievably Frustrated with my Dealer

I'm guessing your door problem will be back. I have 80K miles on mine and it pops up periodically. The dealer "lubes" the door and that helps for a few miles. Usually it's the rear right door but sometimes the passenger door. I think there is a big write-up on this subject around here...
