Rally Cross

You guys suck! I want to be there so bad, but I am on soon to be baby tether for the next two months. Wish I could be there! I am missing out DSCCA event this weekend and the National event in July

Sorry for the late update but the race went awesome. We had 45 racers start the day(a few declined to run when it began to rain). Only the faster 2 classes of the 4 got to run the entire course before the rain made the transition hills unmanageable for the non awd cars. I raced in B class and came in 3rd overall.

I'm bumping this old thread to see if this still goes on. I have a prepped STi and I'm looking to tow it with the raptor and maybe do a few local rally's with the Raptor in the VA MD PA area

I'm looking for some events in the wisconsin. Illinois area anyone know of any the scca website aren't the easiest to follow

The chicago area guys used to go to State Rally Cross events, but we stopped going as it was fairly brutal on the trucks.

A few of the Chicago guys have done Stateline events in the past.

Brutal how? I feel we put these trucks through hell, are these events worse?

I know at least one of them (diggers compound maybe?) had a strip of asphalt followed by a 90* turn. You just cannot make that in 4wd. Either you had to run 2wd and just not be able to go as fast, or 4wd and take the turn super wide.

Sharp turns on asphalt are cake for a rally car with AWD, not so much for a raptor.

Plus, a lot of guys run the whole course in 1st and 2nd gear to keep the revs up.
