19 model to 23/24 model, is it worth it?

Currently have a 19 with 59K miles on it and thinking about a new truck heading into retirement in a few months. I wasn't even thinking Raptor again because of the pricing but then when looking at what I call normal trucks the dang pricing isn't much lower so might end up in a new Raptor. Just not sure I want to look for a leftover 23 that I like or a 24 that is at MSRP.

Thoughts from those that moved from Gen 2 to Gen 3.

Also is everyone basically paying MSRP now or are there better deals to be had?

Yes.
I had a 2018 and and 2019 before my 2023 and it is hand over fist better in everyday.
The interior, fit and finish, exhaust, suspension (even though I love the 2018 passive shocks better) etc.

I would do it in a heartbeat. Especially if you can get a new 2023 that's on the lot.

I just did exactly that today… traded my 19 that i loved on a 24 with 37pp…. That i already love more. So far… it is SO much nicer. I’m guessing you’d feel the same whether 23 or 24.

Thanks for the responses all and I will have to get out and at least test drive one and then go from there. My wife and I was at local dealer Sunday and they had an Avalanche 24 that was nice and I didn't even say anything my wife is like that's what you need, nothing else compares and it is even better than you 19. Not sure I should take her on test drives it might cost me some $$$ HAHAHA

Guess I need to get out and test drive, heck might even test drive the Ranger Raptor they have but I know dealers are already marking them up and I'm not paying markup on whatever I buy.

Your wife is a keeper. Why a new truck for retirement? Sound like the 19 is a good truck and you like it.

Better deals can always be had. Seems like you already have the seal of approval from the wifey, however. Like the above poster mentioned, what's driving your decision to move on from your "liked" '19? In the end, do what's best for you & your household.

I dont see any issue wanting to head into retirement with a 5-6 year newer vehicle. Especially one that holds its value relative to the other vehicle offerings, especially if the budget allows. I also agree that you can get ALOT less truck for 65K. Its crazy what pickups are going for now.
