does this apply to R’s also?
I’m sure it’s all the same. No rail car leaves Dearborn empty. They most likely have computer software to tell people where to stage the trucks by their destination hub and loading diagrams to ensure it’s loaded correctly and most efficiently. When they are moving that much equipment, it has to be all automated.

I sure miss the good ol days. Order a truck, 6-8 weeks it was on the ground lol
We ordered a G-wagon and it took 3 months to get it here from Germany last year. It baffles me why it takes so long in the United States.

this has to do with ford flushing out 23s first to make room for the 24s. Also my contact told me the dates I mentioned could be pushed back much further. Everything’s a mess at the moment, no one knows what’s going on.

Well, if the trucks were sent when they are completed, we would have it in probably about 6 weeks. I wonder what the reasoning behind holding completed trucks on a lot instead of releasing them to dealers to make sales would be?

I'm either guessing they are trying to liquidate the 2023's dealers have on lots or they could be holding them until the press gets their go at them. Rumor is, Ford is holding all rangers on a lot until a press event in march takes place. Why have already sold retail order trucks sit on a lot until a press event happens, doesn't seem to make sense to me

You would think Ford would go after the dealers charging ADM's that are causing this problem of their 2023's just sitting on lots

If that’s the case, then they should not be taking 2024 orders or at least slow down production and scheduling of them if they want to flush out the 2023. I imagine the 2023 that don’t get sold become loaners, service vehicles, auction or sold to fleet. As for the Raptors, they usually sell themselves at some point.

Has GM and Ram come out with their 2024 models yet?

If they truly want to flush '23's - they better start dumping trunk money into the dealers. I've seen multiple Raptors in the midwest 6-7k off and even those didn't move "same day". There's still some Raptors that are over sticker - which is absurd. I'd take a '23 at 10% off at this point but dealers are delusional. Moving a "regular" '23 - good luck dealers
