thanks for the reply - lots of good info here.
There is some elaboration needed.

Most of the aftermarket leaf springs (excluding leaf packs meant for towing) will actually ride SOFTER than stock when unloaded or carrying a couple hundred pounds because there are more leaves than stock and the leaves at the beginning of the pack are “softer”. I have the icon springs on my Gen 1 and whereas the backend would hop around over big bumps with stock leaf springs, it now gives a feeling of sinking into the rear shocks. Likewise, geiser springs are progressive. Like the leaf springs I mentioned, there is less spring rate at the beginning of travel (by virtue of farther spaced coils) which gives a softer ride as there is more compression needed to engage more spring.

Thanks for this explanation. I knew as much for the progressive Geisers, but it makes sense regarding a softer ride with the Deavers.

I ended up going with the Deaver + 3, Icon Bump Stop Spacer and Geiser front. Should be getting them installed in the coming weeks.

appreciate the help and feedback from the forum.

Side note - if anyone wants questions or specific pics on a 2018 for pre/post install let me know and I can follow up afterwards.
