OK, need some guidance here....

About 1 month ago I installed 4 pods lights (2 spot and 2 flood) from Rigid in the bumper pocket. I hooked them up to my Aux3 switch. All solid wire, no splices. They worked for a few days then wouldn't turn on right away when I flipped the switch (about a 2-4 second delay) and now they do not urn on at all.

I did not make the wire connection under the dash, that was done by the previous owner. I know the lights work because when I plug them (with the Rigid plug) into where my light bar is (Aux2), they work. Before I cut and splice a new connection under the dash......as I value my hands.

I really have 2 points of failure in the wiring, where they connect under the hood to the upfitter switches and under the dash connection.

What are the odds the relay is bad?
Are the relays rather solid?
2 pair should be fine on Aux3, right?

Might be pushing it for Aux 3 and the relay failed as designed.
Sounds like previous owners work may be ok if lights worked for a few days before not working.
Always good to check relays and fuses when it comes to Aux lighting.

OK, maybe I'll move them to Aux1. Should I be worried the relay is blown for Aux3? Or it's probably immediately shutting it down?

A good relay is less than $20. If you move the lights to Aux 1, then you can fix Aux 3 relay at your leisure.

aux 3 is rated at 15 amps. which pods you have?

The rigid spot (2) and flood (2)

BTW, I just switched the wire to Aux1 and they work fine so I know it's not the wiring to the juntion under the hood. I also connected a pair of Rigid diffused (that work when connected to Aux1) to Aux3 and no worky worky. So either the relay or the wire connection under the dash.

Anyone know the part number for the Aux3 relay? That should be the easiest to change.
