2021 New Ford F150 Reveal

A friend of a friend who’s cousins uncles third brother’s stepsister has a brother who said his step cousins sisters brother who works at the Ford Factory (he’s a janitor) said we finally get the GT500’s Supercharged V-8. But you didn’t hear that from me!

We won't see the Gen 3 unveiled at this launch. We will definitely see interior and exterior design cues and technology that will make its way into the Gen 3. Gen 3 will launching mid-2021. Rumor has it that we will see prototype trucks with the Gen 3 body (camo wrapped) by mid-summer.

As long at it doesn’t look like the BF Ugly Tesla truck. I have respect for Elon Musk for telling the state of CA to go F themselves. But that truck, WTF!

This is why I ordered a 2020 two weeks ago. I don’t think there will be a new Raptor for 2021. Maybe they’ll carryover the 2020 as a Raptor Heritage. I also believe the SuperCab option is going away eventually.

Either my dealer was full of it but I tried to place a factory order last week and was told they couldn't until the 2021 now.

I would be so bummed I blew the zombie deals plus the 2020's.

Could be a dealer allocation issue? If your dealer can’t order any more 2020’s maybe they are just putting you off.

The Raptor is built in Dearborn, along with other F150 trims yes?

Even if they wanted to still produce a Gen2 Raptor until a Gen3 was available, I don't think they could do it, i'm not a factory tooling expert, but I would think this would be cost prohibitive.

This would sound correct to me. Can’t see how they could build the current Raptor along side 2021’s once they switch over. So there would have to be a 2021 Raptor or it’s discontinued until they release the next version. Normally there is a lapse between new Raptor gen’s. How long this time around? Anyone’s guess.

They could have been developing the Raptor along side 14th Gen(?) F150, and it would be damn cool if they have a Gen 3 Raptor in 2021 or even 2022. However, if you look at other performance cars like Camaro, Mustang, Chally, the most common iteration is at minimum, two years for HALO versions. So, my vote is 2023 MY for Gen 3.

That’s normally how most manufacturers do it with the higher end models. Ford probably wants to showcase the new F-150 and its features alone and save something like the Raptor for later. Especially if they introduce the Hybrid F-150.
