Went through my local 4Wheel Parts for everything. I ordered the shocks, and their install, during their grand reopening. This netted a savings of around a grand for purchase, labor, warranty, and alignment. They were even awesome enough to throw in the alignment cams for free, and even...

Shocks needed to be rebuilt or replaced... so I chose replace! Lets hope this means 2017 equals more club outings, because 2016 was lacking!

Going down Mengel Pass is way easier than going up! BTW, what camper shell is that? I need to get one soon, and yours looks clean.

Things to see out West...

Lippincott is the shorter route, even if it is sketchy and definitely at your own risk. But I prefer the drive over Hunter. We actually climbed into the snow, saw deer, then dropped back down into a valley full of Joshua Trees. Lots of high speed trail once you drop into the valley too...

No.. if we don't go via the normal route past Ubehebe, we usually go over Hunter Mountain near Panamint Springs. Here's that route...

Starting East, heading North...

When we visit, we're usually in the Furnace Creek area... so my recommendations branch out from there. All day trip heading south out of Furnace Creek...

I probably have. I think there's only 6 or 7 Raptors I've seen in the immediate area, and only 3 are black, including mine. All are stock except for a silver one (lights, emblem changes), and obviously your cousin has wheels. Which means that, unless they're stopped, I can't tell 'em apart...

My truck's original battery from 2011 finally crapped out on me. So I dropped in a Duralast Platinum. Hopefully this holds up just as well, if not better, than the Gold I have in my other vehicle. Although, I think 4 solid years of use, especially after adding lights and whatnot, isn't too bad.

I too have noticed that the casing on my Olympus pods are starting to fade. Eventually I'll take 'em off and respray them. I have no problem doing that, it's not like I spent a ton of money on them.

So, obviously it clears a regular tailgate... but what about those with the step and grab bar?
