This is the response my service advisor gave me when I asked about the 2 misfire alerts I received on Ford Pass yesterday.
"He had to reprogram all modules to the new trans."
Does that make sense? Engine misfire because of a reprogram?
Just received a text from my service advisor that my truck is done. Seriously crossing my fingers that this is it for problems...
Regarding my last post above, does anybody have any insight on this? Is it something I need to be concerned about?
I have yet to see anything in writing from the Ford rep who promised to email me the offer. I'm more concerned with the transmission, engine, and turbos than service.
My dealer told me last week that they are waiting on additional parts for the transmission which should arrive Wednesday...
Cracked torque converter at 600 miles, fixed/ replaced. Transmission fail again at 900 miles waiting on a complete transmission swap currently. Not the norm, still love the truck.
I highly doubt I will keep the truck for 7 years or 200k, however if it’s transferable that would certainly help with resale. I still have yet to see anything in writing and as someone mentioned I would hope a power train warranty woild cover the turbos.

Ford rep called yesterday to inform me that my local dealer received the new transmission Wednesday and they are supposed to receive the seals today. He told me that because of the problems I’ve experienced he is “authorized” to offer me either an extended power train warranty 7 years /...
I had something similar happen in an old twin turbo RX7. The problem was a leaking hose connected to the BOV.

Ford Rep called Friday and basically reiterated what he has already said, will have an answer on a buy back Wednesday. I’m fully expecting it to be turned down.
Still no ETA on the tranny, and he couldn’t promise he had the ability to pull one from the line.

As an update the service advisor confirmed that Ford is recommending a new transmission. I asked what the ETA would be and she replied that it’s on backorder with no ETA. I left a message for the ford rep. MJslasherADMIN recommended that...
Not sure if you saw what I added to my post. My service advisor text me back and said the tech is requesting to replace the transmission but they are waiting on ford.
I spoke with the call center yesterday, today I spoke with a regional rep out of Orlando, is there someone else that will contact me? I’m calling my service advisor next to let them know I want to clear any repairs to the vehicle prior to them working on it.
