It probably will go on CARFAX. Actually, I'm glad they are replacing the entire door and the fender/quarter panel. Whenever they try to just fix stuff, you can always tell. Getting a new door and quarter panel eliminates that issue as long as the paint job is good.
I was trying to back out of a tight parking space in a covered parking garage. There were two concrete pillars on the driver's side of my truck...and as I backed out, I was paying attention to the car that parked close to me on the passenger side as I cut the wheels to ease out. I ripped off my...
Damn near brought a tear to my eye. Hope the Ford body shop does a good job. They are completely replacing the driver's side door, front quarter panel, fender well fascia, door hinges, and left running board. Then...painting it all (Tuxedo Black). This will be interesting.
Sideswiped (while backing up) a concrete pillar last week in my 2012 SCREW. $6k in damage to the truck. I'll be driving a rental POS this week while the truck is at the body shop. @#*!!
Time to trade it in on an untarnished 2013. :mad3:
Great pics! Your parents have done well for themselves...beautiful home and cars!! BTW...my 2012 has begun to exhibit the dreaded "door tick"...sounds like it's right next to my left ear. Very annoying! I may get some acoustic foam and try packing the vertical support area around the side...

Post Script:
The owner of the establishment that dropped and "dinged" my tailgate said he wants to sell my old tailgate (complete with camera, step, etc) to help recoup the $4,200 he is spending to replace it with a new one on my truck. If anyone is interested, let me know. The bottom right...
Thanks for the encouraging words. i was sick to my stomach when they told me what they had done...felt like trading in my truck with 600 miles on it for a new 2013 Lexus GS 350 (wife just bought a new LS 460 L). I'm better now....let's see how their "fix-it" job looks!
First the good news:
Having tried unsuccessfully to unscrew my OEM antenna to install the CravenSpeen Stubby, I took my brand new 2012 SCREW to the dealership for assistance. The service rep couldn't unscrew it either, and has ordered a new antenna base/cable under warranty. When it comes in, I...
