Good luck. Mine was shipped on 10/29, three days after being built with no holds. It's currently sitting and has been sitting in a rail yard (even though it was shipped by truck) for about 40+ days. Honestly, I think some trucks are left sitting there in rail yards and they're just forgotten about. It's sitting an hour away from my dealer. I'm sure the drivers don't want to load them onto their trucks so they pick and choose smaller vehicles. This is all just a guess though.
I might have gotten an explanation from someone at Ford about these rail yard holds.
If the truck isn't full, the truckers don't want to pick that load up because it pays less. Since there is a shortage of drivers, your truck might sit for weeks or a month plus, until the load is full.

8th ETA and doesn't look like we will hit it either. Ford CS is worthless and my dealer can't help.

It just burns me up; that this forum is filled with countless stories of others with similar or worse issues in this ordering process.

Potential buyers of 90-100k trucks, shouldn’t have to deal with nonsense. Not saying I was expecting to get the truck in a week. But get it to us in a reasonable amount of time. Once the truck is built, it shouldn’t take months to get it us.

What I am most concerned about; is that their delay is actually costing us money, with the interest rates on the rise. Not even mentioning that delays cost some of us the issue of reselling our old vehicles or the increased cost of the 2023 Model year.

I’m on the fence about calling Ford Corporate or Ford Direct. Not sure where I can get answers, because the CS and dealers have been no help.

Yea. I ordered in March. This delay has cost me 10-15k in my current truck's value, 3.5% in interest, and 7k in MSRP raises.

It's stupid for me to even buy the truck financially. Could have had a TRX with the "11k off MSRP" mid summer for what would be ridiculous savings

Huh... more and more people with delays. Getting sad here boys on the excuses and delays by so many involved except the ones spending the money on their orders. We need to put the ball back in our court entirely. Who's in... what can we do?? I like the idea of calling Ford corporate. Let's go... I'm in... let me grab my coat and go down to McDonald's and grab six big macs and sit, get fat and be more lazy staring out the window at people driving their trucks down the street while I play fool to some nonsense corporate entity ETA metric.

You're saying that the truckers won't want to pick it up because our trucks equal about 1.5 normal cars which equals to less money in their pockets? I can see that and if I were in their position I might do the same thing. There should be incentives not to do that.

I just don't see that changing anytime soon. There have to be hundreds or thousands of vehicles in these lots and to think that mine would be picked up would be like finding a needle in a haystack. Unless they're told to pick up certain vehicles, it seems like a never ending story.

I appreciate the insight though.

No. From what the Ford Corporate rep told me, it sounded like they are essentially picking up "full" orders and leaving the less full orders for later hoping that it will fill up at some point.

For example...Granger is a huge dealer and gets 20 trucks a day (made up number). They are likely to get full loads. My dealer, on the other hand, is small and in a less populated area. They might only get 2 trucks a week....so my truck might be waiting on another 6 to arrive to constitute a "full load" and then it will get picked up.

Thank you for clarifying. That makes much more sense. I ordered from a Ford dealership in Daytona Beach, FL so I can only hope that they routinely get many cars out of that rail yard.

I’m also waiting. Truck was built 11/17 and still hasn’t changed status. Ford says no holds and it was released for shipment on the 17th. They don’t know where it is. I find their lack of communication insulting and disrespectful. I think it is pure arrogance that they (Ford) have no issue with this broken system or at least make no apparent efforts to reach out to customers to remedy or provide clarification. I can empathize with the supply chain and trucking issues they are facing, but bad news is better than no news. The customer service reps have all been nice, but they are no help because Ford’s tracking system is so bad. I asked the question yesterday, how can Amazon tell me where a toothpick is and when it will be at my doorstep, but they don’t know or can’t tell us where a $100k truck is? I feel bad for the folks answering the phones and always try to keep the perspective that it isn’t their fault.
