Hello Fellas.

I am having issues with my 4X4 always that I start up my truck 4H engages by itself but the 2H light remains, after 7 minutes it disengages and it starts working normally. I used FORSCAN and my ECU sends the signal "NO" to the IWS which remains in "YES" but it won´t follow the command even that I try to control it and press "NO".
My truck got flooded about 1 year ago I replaced every module and everything works fine. I am just having issues with the 4x4 which I had to disconnect manually in order to keep the truck 4X2. Right now I have the following DTC´s B1081 and B11F0. I could not find any information about it. I hope someone could help me.

Not a full answer, but will get you in the ballpark. Oh, for whatever reason those number combinations are listed on any resource I’ve come across. However, there is a reference chart in this link that explains each position of a trouble code; as well of a complete list of codes for each covered section of the vehicle. Except those two for some reason.

Ok… that’s good info on that screen. From there what I would do next is pull up the wiring schematics for that circuit. Find the wires that carry those loads. Do a continuity check to locate any possible opens in the circuit. Also, check if any hot wire (+ or positive) is making contact with ground using a good multimeter. You know your way around Forscan obviously, so I’ll assume you know how to use a multimeter. That’s what I’d do next, Bud. Do you have access to schematics for your vehicle?

****Disclaimer****: These wiring schematics are from the digital Chilton’s manual library for a 2018 model year. 2019, and above, only gives me the option to look at open Recall’s, and TSB’s. Noticed the top of your Forscan screen says 2020. No option to get to maintenance, wiring, and general information on models newer than 2018.

Maybe… just maybe, Ford didn’t change much, or anything at all. The IWE (Independent Wheel End) is referenced in these diagrams. As well as the dash selector panel.

Hope this helps you out!!!

When I input 2018 model year I get the option to open maintenance menu’s. When I enter 2020 I only get one option; Recalls/ TSB’s. I did venture off into the Recall/ TSB section to see if something similar to your issue was listed. Came up with something in the ballpark, but 100% accurate in all accounts. I’ll attach it below. I guess Chilton is a little behind the power curve… they’ve got some catching up to do.

Per the first post. 4h engages but the indicator shows 2h

So I ask. What indication are you getting that the truck is in 4wd?

Also the indicator only shows transfercase position. There is no electronic feed back to show if the IWEs are engaged themselves.
