When I ordered mine from the dealer. That said they had one allocation, it was 12/3. So I am inclined to believe them since most everyone else I talked to said they generally get allocations at the end of month or the first day of the month. I sat down with him gave a refundable deposit. He actually took all my info. I got the DORA and the order confirmation. All done in a half hour. By the time I got home I had the email confirmation from FORD. Thats what I'd expect if they are not B'Sing you. I just talked to him yesterday after I checked with FordPerformance all they could tell me is that its in the system and listed as unscheduled. The salesman said to give him a call in a couple weeks and he can try to do a check on his end on the status.

Does anybody else think thats what would be a normal experience.

Thats what I think you should expect.
Agree and as previously mentioned if they didnt submit your email to ford then you'll have to get your Ford MoCo acknowledgement and VIN from your dealer. I had the DORA when I walked out the door at the dealership. Was told that I had the first of 10 allocations, having one of the dealers allocations is key of course. No allocation, no actual order yet just in a waiting queue. If/when you get your VIN you know that you secured that allocaiton. My saleman emailed me an update, told me my truck was scheduled and provided a VIN with a tentative build week. Then as we all know on here that date adjusts. All my updates I had to email my saleman and get because I guess they never submitted my email. I have never received an email from Ford, unlike how I did when I had my Bronco reservation. I learned from this forum you can call Ford Performance, even provided me the number. I called Ford Performance they confirmed my truck was built on Dec 9, my last call yesterday confirmed my truck is with the shipping vendor. I have an ETA of Dec 18-24 which still hasn't changed, so hoping my dealer receives my truck in the next day or two. Given that its the holidays I wouldnt be suprised if it doesnt come in the new year. Ford Performance and my dealer say they usualy can provide routing updates from the carrier but not all are providing updates. So my truck could just arrive soon or may be siting in Michigan still waiting on a truck to go out. We shall see. Not stressing it, just glad I somehow got past chip holds and parts delays.

Get your DORA. It is the only positive proof you have. Plus you can confirm that the color and options are correct. Get your deal in writing. You don't want any ADM surprises at delivery time.
Agree and makes sure the dealer also signs the DORA or a purchase agreement not just you the customer

oh yeah forgot to mention the part to get it in writing wether or not it was MSRP or has an ADM. My salesperson did that too. You dont want any surprises. so far I have some hope this one legit compared to the other dealers I tried to deal with.
You should have a signed agreement showing the vehicle price, destination, doc fee and tax and tag. Make sure the GM signs that. That is key if they later try to add ADM and its not on there...

I ordered 11/6 and mine is still in unscheduled. The rep told the dealer it was being processed. But then last week people that had an order date after me got emails from Ford giving them a build week. I got nothing. Nothing this week either. They are probably closed now until next year so I get to wait a couple more weeks to see what happens.

It is a pretty lame process if you ask me. They need a better way for customers to get the information.

Don’t worry I’ve had my order in since 10/1 and still at unscheduled. At a priority code 1 and have been for some 6 weeks now ….

About ready to give up. It’s such a BS process, particularly considering you’re spending $80k+

If your order went in day 1 and you don't have a VIN/build date, you might want to double check that your dealer actually had an allocation...because it sounds like they didn't.

I had my build date/VIN in just over 3 weeks from order placement. I ordered 10/1 as well, just FYI.

Ford's a mess, plain and simple. Even their website still only has the 2021 F-150 which hasn't be orderable for months now. My buddy and I both ordered our Raptors from the same dealer (had allocations). Mine went in on 10/19, his on 10/20. My order got a production date on 12/16, his remains unscheduled. Both 35's with some option differences.

So I'm looking at 2/7 production week... which will surely will be a miracle if that holds true. Ford's useless order tracking site still shows it's unable to process it. Probably gonna be a long winter.

They’ve promised me to high heaven they do. Not sure how else to check it except to take their word. They are one of the bigger dealerships in the CO region… I’m not sure what reason they have to lie.
