LOL @ MPG. No man on his death bed ever said; "I wish I would have gotten a more fuel-efficient vehicle".
Some things in life can't be quantified with a price tag, the feeling of pure power and its sound is one of them IMO.

But how many have said "I wish I had paid attention to important things instead of all those effing cars"? I'll bet there have been a few. Family, friends, security, food ... at the end of the day the real difference between a Prius and and Raptor is that one is a luxury. And arguing about which luxury is better is, well, a luxury. So enjoy.
Heard that. I leave so many toys on the table because who cares? What does it really get you? A complicated life is. . . Complicated.

Get the TRX at MSRP. If you don't like it you could probably sell it for more than you paid for it.
I traded in my 2018 raptor for a TRX ...the raptor rides so much better... I did drive the TRX from Long Island to the jersey shore I couldn't believe I got 15.5 MPG
my TRX has the lean on the driver s side ..
that sucks
I have a deposit on a 2021 Raptor ..that is being delivered to the dealer this week
I hope im driving the new Raptor this week

I’m curious why you think the Hellcat engine is “next level”? Supercharged V8s making big power while getting **** poor fuel economy has been around since the 60s. I could’ve made the same power as the Hellcat with my 2004 Terminator and I could’ve put the parts on in my garage. That car came out 17 years ago BTW, which is to say nothing of the Trinity 5.8 from the 13-14 GT500, or any of GM’s S/C LS or LT motors.

What Ford accomplished by taking a medium displacement twin turbo V6 and making it reliable enough for truck duty, public consumption all while making 450 HP is next level. But hey, it doesn’t sound like a V8 so it’s obviously inferior.
And attached it to a garbage transmission.

Enjoying this thread, and I’m huge raptor fan overall. However, someone said it best when another member said Ram copied the Raptor. I believe this not to be true overall.

Ram did the 5 link first. Ram had the best interior first (and still is just inches ahead of Fords new interior).

But to copy is expected to some degree. How do you come out with something completely different when they are suppose to compete with each other?

Take in consideration Ford re-releasing the Bronco. That screams Wrangler. No one on the wrangler forums is pointing their fingers at Ford and saying copy-cat. They are applauding the Ford team for upping the game on Jeep.

If there was no raptor, there wouldn’t be a TRX. And if there was no TRX, there would be no Raptor R.

and for those who mention Ram is garbage, stop basing it off of old experience. The recall rate on these trucks since 2019 is nearly none. Some safety recalls and TSB’s but nothing like before. Since they spun off into their own, they have been a ton better.

Ford service is leaps and bounds better, but sales and ops not so much. No one took me seriously or gave me the time of day at 7 Ford dealerships when I inquired about the Gen 3. Only 1 called me back to ask if I wanted to place an order, but at $7k over msrp and even then they couldn’t concrete one of their allocations, stating whoever paid the most over MSRP got their 4 allocations.

3 of 4 Ram dealers called me and helped me right away with getting an order in.

Different time we live in, but with the shortage of new vehicles and time sales guys have on their hands right now, you figure a dealer would do anything to get a sale.

They’re basically a poor imitation of a Raptor. They’ve even copied Ford’s Performance Blue. I tend to wonder if Dodge has an original idea in their head at this point.
The hellcat was pretty original. Just saying.
