I know this has been discussed a lot.
I did my first change today, and you guys weren't kidding. I'm 66 and have been doing my own maintenance since I as a kid.
This was by far the messiest job ever.
In went the Fumoto 137N.
Spent 20 min spraying the skids with simple green and hose to get all the oil out.
This is my first Fumoto. Do you really only tighten it 1/8 turn past hand tight?
Seems like not much.

I went hand tight and then until the valve was in an orientation I likes. Not like a full turn or anything but definitely more than an 1/8th.

You can snap the hollow through bolt really easily if you over torque it (don't ask me how I know). I followed the 1/8 turn and it has not leaked a drop. I check to make sure it's snug when I do changes. That o ring doesn't need much force to create a good seal.

Mine doesn't have the O ring. Got the N instead of SX. I went back in and gave it another little turn till snug.

Mess could've been worse but I had a Large drip pan under the oil basin.
Learned a few things in 66 years. LOL

I have learned to hold the empty drain pan up high close to the skid plate while I take the factory plug out, then once the flow is manageable I put it back on the ground.

The first time though...wtf!
