Not sure if this is the right place to post (apologies if not)

I am looking to buy a 2017 raptor and all I keep finding are RAV (reacquired vehicles/buy backs). Should I stay away from 2017s?

I personally know 3 EARLY 2017 raptor owners (myself included) Well over 100,000 miles between us, and not a single issue or problem. My biggest gripe is that my KO2's only lasted 32,000 miles

thanks for the replies! I can't seem to find out out here that is not a buyback. So weird.

That is weird. Dealers don't like buying cars back. I don't know that I'd avoid '17s, but I personally would avoid RAVs ... too much of a chance that it's a lemon. Maybe if they could prove it was a repo ...

Random question. Do cars repurchased under lemon laws get resold? Or destroyed? Or sent offshore? Anyone know?

Ford sells their Buy Backs at private auctions and only certain dealers are invited. It is possible there are dealers in the Ohio area who are invited to participate in Raptor buy backs and you have inadvertently found them. They will typically sell them for less then other dealers hoping you will not ask why the price is so attractive. If you are only shopping for 2017s based on lowest price, this will also lead you to the Buy Back dealers.

When I was looking for a used GT350 I found several dealers who buy them on a regular basis. One had 3 and another had 2 for sale on their lots at the same time. They were priced $5-6K under other used 350s with similar equipment and miles. They were more than happy to send me the Oasis Reports because when you ask they have to disclose it is a Buy Back. In the end, I opted to buy a car with a clean title from the original owner.
