I just traded my F250 Diesel in for the Raptor. unless you are towing a lot its a waste of money. The maintenance on them is much greater than a gas engine. Plus if the dealer doesn't have a good Diesel Mechanic good luck. And the ride is a rough one and the mileage is no better.

I'm curious, why go 350 if you're yanking the suspension anyway? I wasnt aware of any other material differences between the 250 and 350, other than the rear springs and some shock valving.

Also, take a look at the new torsion front swaybar that Carli just released. I'm hoping mine ships today. In theory, it should give you a softer daily ride and the roll control when towing without having to compromise.

The F350 has a different gearing in the rear that I am looking for. I am looking into the Carli sway bar along with the radius arms (if they can custom make them for the length I need), may add that to the list of things to add. I am wanting to make this truck into something I can take down oil lease roads and haul without beating myself to death.

My has been great running down lease roads but not being able to haul my trailers is killing me.

The Tremor package has skid plates, better suspension, and is rated for 16,000 pounds. It can be added to all trim levels above the XLT.

The problem is you still can't beat an air ride suspension. And changing out the stock fuel tank to a larger tank makes the skid plate useless. I would rather have a Platinum and build the rest myself.

You may want to consider a full Carli kit. The one I put on my truck with the full leaf pack is money. Big big difference from stock. Night and day actually. I'm running the daystar bag cradles so I don't have to worry about ripping an airbag.

As for the radius arms. For the Carli kits that are more than 2.5", they do a drop bracket + radius arm combo.

If that doesn't spin your bowtie, give lewisbuilt fab a call. They make nice radius arms too and may have more of an appetite to do something custom length.

in all reality, if you were willing to do the McNeil 3" fenders and bedsides, you could easily run 40s with the same 2.5" leveling kit from Carli that I have on my rig. I have to believe that Bigger tires will do just as much to soften the harshness off-road that the suspension will do.

untrue. take a look at the S&B tank. Hangs 1/2" lower. Reuses factory skid and comes with an extension skid for the front portion. also has ports molded-in for a secondary tank in the bed, and for a sump. just have to uncap them and drill them out.

It's raining right now, but I can snap a couple of pics for you. I really like the s&b tank over the others.

I will have to look into that. I know I will be running 37's on mine. Plan on going air bags all around for these damn lease roads. My last F250 had coil over was worn out in 50k miles because of the rough roads, not to mention my back was always hurting after going to the field. A few guys I know run Kelderman and love it. I know I will never get the ride of the Raptor but want to be as close as possible.

As for the tank, send me a pic of yours if you can. I was planning on going with a titan tank, had it on my last SD and really liked it. Had a custom side plate made since I took a pipe in the original skid plate that ripped through it and ripped one of my steps off as well.

I'm not sure what kind of Coilover that you were running, but I chose to simply stick with coil and shock from Carli. I also made the conscious choice to run a 17" wheel with a 37" tire to have as much sidewall that I could get for small bump compliance. The Toyo MTs that I'm running have a 131 load rating ( stock Superduty is 126). I keep them aired down to 50 psi when not towing. with this setup, I don't see how the ride, even with a full air ride suspension, could get smoother.

I'd bet that if you went traditional suspension and then went with an air equipped 5th wheel hitch, the ride would be super stable and smooth while towing.

As soon as the weather clears, I'll send ya a few pics. The S&B tank is more thought out than the titans that I've had in the past. The driveshaft side is nicely scalloped for appropriate clearane and it has effective baffles in it as well. It also happens to be 60 Gallon instead of 55 gallon. and yes, it does take a full 60 gallons. I simply changed the tank size with forscan and havent had any issue with the tank at all.

I spent a ton of time researching how I might build it out. while my use-case ( chase truck) is different than yours, but isn't that much different, so if what I learned helps you too, I'm good with it.

I did a build on Fords site last night for a Tremor.

If I were to purchase one it have to be the 7.3 gas one over the Diesel due to higher maintenance and all the EPA crap going on, I think they're even cracking down on folks doing deletes now days.

I really like the Tremor package and the 6 1/2' bed would come in handy for an overlanding vehicle but as already stated it's not a Raptor.

I really love this Raptor, I'll be getting my valve cover replacements soon since it failed the oil consumption test and therefore TSB 19-2232 applies.

I'm just hoping all goes well and that issue gets resolved because I've got a bunch of mods waiting to be installed sitting in the basement most of which I've recently received.

The looks, technology, performance of this truck is off the charts for me anyway.

I was running Icons for bit then my last set were Fox. Neither lasted very long. I see the difference with yours and the one I will be building is the 17" wheels. I will be going with 20's or 22's with at least a 37" tire. We use the truck for promotional events (business advertising) and track days (pulling the trailer). Even though I do use it for off-roading down lease roads and such, we still need it for our events to be sort of show looking. I also don't think the brake package I am going with would fit under 17's.

I am interested in the tank you have. Seems to be the better option than what I was thinking of. Will definitely be looking into that, need something that I can get 700 miles or so between refueling.
