Fake engine noise WTF! This is the most stupid thing. Fake sh-t I just do not get it. If want to listen to an engine buy one that sounds good. I don’t listen to music simply because I live my V8 sound just like a 1960’ small block or big block they are as different and both beautiful. Some enjoy 12 cyl Ferrari but fake noise. Man some people can sell ocean front property in Arizona.

Fake engine noise? Wtf. Anyone have a vid of this craziness.... NEVERMIND> A little YT search and WOW. Just WOW....

I'm with you....being new to the Raptor, never knew Gen2 owners had to pipe in their V-8 sounds....gezzz..pretty soon we wont even be able to drive our computerized vehicles, just get in and say :
"ALEXIS...go jump that Sand Dune..and dont forget to make it sound like a V-8"

I'll stick with my Gen1 with 110% good old USA muscle and real V-8 sounds...

I thought the fake engine noise on the 2017 and 2018s was with the less expensive radio. I.e. if you have the 802a with the B&O radio, you do NOT have the fake engine noises.

Can you explain this? Is this a fact that with 802a and a B&O system it doesn’t produce the fake engine sound? Or just guessing?

I really like it, but then again, this is me on my bike.

I thought the high end trucks had it. I don't think my plain jane 2017 800A with the 4" infotainment screen has it.

Pretty much any high end car without a V8 has this nowadays, even the more 'premium' brands.

In our trucks, the noise/tone remains the same, but if you turn it off the engine noise is a lot quieter, and instead you get a lot more white noise. At least in my case, the high-tone screech drove me mad so I didn't make it 28 hours with it off.

All it is doing is amplifying the sounds your engine already makes through the speakers.

I just got my fully loaded 2019 Raptor at the end of June. I have every option available for the 2019. I found out through Forscan that my truck has the fake engine sound. It turns out ALL 2019 Raptors have it in the SYNC 3. It's a sound file that plays at low speeds. Dumbest thing I've ever heard of so I wanted it disabled. If I want the truck to sound different, I'll change the exhaust, not my radio.

When I hit the "go" button in Forscan to disable the feature, I actual saw forscan set the volume for the sound effect to zero. The sound is produced by a file embedded in SYNC 3 and all Forscan does is set the volume for this sound file that runs in the background to zero.

I'm not sure what you're messing with to get "white noise" from the audio system. Mine is whisper quiet. And that's how I like the interior of my truck to be. Quiet. If I want to hear the exhaust noise I'll roll down the windows and drive under a bridge or change out the exhaust system.

Fake engine noise disable: ACM 727-01-01 xxxx x0xx xxxx

Triggered much? It's gonna be okay, put the gun back in the drawer.

New ones have tons of useless things that might get you riled up so brace yourself when look through the Gen2 section. You've been warned!
