Thanks I just did that stopped to get gas and turned truck back on and now still have the flickering console of death. Need to find an update or a way to reset it to get console to work again. Only solution I have found so far disconnecting and reconnecting sync cable.... Frustrating.....22a190580feac25b29966816b50eca69.jpg

Strange thing noticed today....

there is no option to turn the music off rather then mute button

And when I open the youtube there is no sound from YouTube only sound of music is coming from sync whatever the app I open

There is lot of disturbances coming in radio Might be they forget to attach the antenna cable is possible?

Might be I have to do the update??

What is the purpose of the wire look attach

The Phoenix comes with a new, slightly longer antenna cable so that's why that one is left over.

The no audio from apps is either due to one of the wiring harnesses not getting plugged in or the firmware on your unit .
There are 2 harnesses that get plugged in behind the brain/CD player and not plugging those in will cause no audio from apps.
But the firmware can also cause it.
Mine worked fine until I did an update and then the audio quit working.

For anyone that uses spotify, I couldn’t figure out why the sound quality was poor.

Discovered a spotify setting for audio quality was set to “automatic”...changed it to very high and it sounds much better. Must have been underestimating my data connection.

Respectfully agree to disagree. Appreciate the info. Like I said it's my field and I know otherwise. That said I have complete respect for your perspective and it's sound logic. I'm hoping for a great result here.

Yea, I’m in the cyber security business too and you’re being silly. Stop with the FUD and let’s get back to indash tablets.

I just got my unit installed 2-3 days ago. Had the issue with the no apps sound and after checking everything they asked, I got on the phone with one of the reps in Cali. He double checked everything then sent me some links, 1 for DL of the can update from January and one for the instruction video. I followed these instructions and applied the update. After that, apps worked like a charm.

To be clear, I have applied NO other updates to this unit, so if you have, I don't know if this will work. Try AYOR

Okay, I have some downtime today. I will give this a shot and report back if I can get sound back on the apps.

Okay, So I did get the sound working again with the update above.

As Datnut mentioned several pages back, I did have to rename the file once on the USB as it would not update onto the Phoenix. I had to remove "(1)" from the file name.
