Just did the update and now texting is back, Yahoo!!!!!!!

Sync Update 4.6 is out and working!!!

Sorry for the long wait but the answer is YES.

I haven't noticed any changes except texting. So far

I had to test text my wife a couple of times because I forget how it all works, it's been 2 1/2 years, LOL

I sent the confirm file (.xml) but I guess it will take a day or two before the website updates.


Also, a side note:

You need to unpair Sync in the phone and restart the phone, then pair with Sync again.
At least this is what I needed to do with my Motorola Droid Turbo 2

Every phone may behave differently.

Sync Update 4.6 is out and working!!!

For whatever reason the Ford website either did not like the file or just a website glitch.

I ran the Version checker and uploaded that (.xml) file.
The website now says I'm up to date.

@MTF Thanks for the heads up. I just downloaded and installed the update. I wasn't having any issues with 4.4 other than the typical SYNC behavior of simply not working sometimes. I did a restore to factory default and a master reset prior to installing 4.6. The only thing I had to do to get the Text Message Notifications working again was to ensure that Notifications was turned on under my iPhone's Bluetooth settings and that the MAP Profile option was turned on under the SYNC Advanced menu.

I'll update if I have any issues while driving around.

Mine worked fine. Just had to re-pair the phone. Still had an issue where the phone would be connected and playing but had no audio. Tried the added sync reboot option and so far so good.

Is anyone else getting the error on the sync website "this service is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later or contact us." Happens every time I try to request download.

I would try a vehicle health report first and then try again.
That might help, maybe.

Also, not sure what you're using but if it's a PC and IE not those other browsers.
Clear your browser, restart tbe browser try again.

It could be your browser is trying to download the 4.4 still which has been removed.
