Has anyone tried load resistors on just the front 2 turn signal bulbs?

Am I just asking for trouble if I was to add a load resistor?

My truck didn't require load resistors for only front bulbs but some trucks will. With our trucks only way to elimate hyper flash is to use them.... Just make sure to mount them on metal and away from anything the can melt, they get hot.

Got my 2nd set of 50w LEDs in today, I swapped the 7.5w with the 50w LEDs. BIG difference, definitely worthwhile! It's hard to tell in the pictures, but in person it's a pretty good difference....definitely worthwhile upgrade!!

Old 7.5w on left and new 50w on the right. You can tell in pictures, but even in garage during the daytime it's pretty big change. More "white" light as well!

Do the 50W reverse lights really draw 50W of power? I ran 38W 894 bulbs as reverse lights and blew a fuse. Would this be an issue with the LEDs?

I doubt they do, think it's more of a marketing thing.... Think it's more of a guess when attempting to convert lumens to wattage which isn't possible or least use not to be. Like you said they would blow a fuse and even if not, it likely would start to show melting of the reverse, cargo or signal housing, none which show any abuse on my truck.

I just ordered a set of what is supposedly 1200 lumen bulbs for my front signals. I invitally wanted to buy some black housing bulbs to make the housing a little darker but these are supposedly brighter.

With our trucks anything is possible. With only front signals I don't have any issues. But some truck will have hyper flash with only them.

Same thing applies to Spyder LED tail lights... I can't run them but other trucks can.

Hyper flash can be removed on 2011 and later models.
I had a few customers do this already.

Take this into your Ford dealer and have them perform it to remove fast flash.
It does cost money to have this done, around roughly $100.
Now the vehicles that have had this done have had it done successfully but there still could be the vehicle that it may not work on.
Mine is a 2010 and they could not perform this on it.


Just an option thrown out there to solve hyper flash issues.
Do it at your own risk.
