Sick air!

Love the wheel rings. Also diggin' on all the custom homebrew work. You interested in building me a tire rack like yours only with the spare sitting flush against the tailgate?

Thanks, there are a few vendors who offer the style you are looking for, happy to forward any specs to ya if you have a local fabricator

After years of delay, finally got Deaver +3s on the truck… I’m thrilled to have rid myself of wheelhop, but the ride improvement is beyond huge, I really kick myself for not doing this long ago. While not nearly as free, this should be up there with no brainer mods like mid perch adjustment.

‘Merica!

Also on my long waited list…. I’ve been insanely jealous of all the dovetailed trucks, just never had the balls to take the wheel to my quarters. After a late night Havoc chat with Jimmy, I decided the only way it would get done is if someone else did it. Being a 1/2 cut, it has been deemed the “partridge” tail. A nice solution for those who still have the large and unsightly stock hitch assy still, gracias WSI!

Had some downtime for a few weeks this summer due to a Harness issue... If you drive your truck hard, couldn’t hurt to eye up this spot and give your harness a good once over too. I was experiencing a random Advance Track Service, Hill Decent Fault, Wrench, SES, & Limp Mode. It only showed itself when body roll/bump/etc was involved. After a month in and out of dealer, this point proved to be the issue...

Firewall bolt rubbed/ wore through harness loom, and slightest of wear through wire and contact would trip fuse 76 setting off series of faults. Solution, insulation tape and rubber nipple.

Just about this time, the new fiberwerx fenders were being released, so jumped in on the group buy. Just wanted a little extra clearance, no plans for 37s yet, and wanted to use the stock liners. So decided to be a guinea pig…

With these fenders, I decided to not drill the antenna hole. Per Travis’ idea, I opted to run the antenna inside the fender. Trialed the stubby antenna mounted inside the fender which resulted in zero reception, so will be mounting the stocker in there next

Really stoked with how well they came. I like the higher profile look of the boatec & glasstecs best, but these grow on me more daily, and price was hard to pass up. And no I did no apply the tire shine ;)

Still a few more additions to finish off before snoball

I swapped out my light canons in favor of some 5” Xmitter Extreme bars last year. I liked the uniform look, matching other lights, but missed the longer throw. Decided to add canons back into the mix and keep the 5”ers up there, but angled outward for long range wide light. Not thrilled with the look, but function is excellent. Light into those higher speed sweeping turns is excellent now.

Made Alum brackets, used a countersunk flush mounted bolt for canons, otherwise trim cutting would have to take place.

Despite my ranting to not buy Chinese lights again, I had to try out the new knock off light canons. They have a more light bleed, and less pencil beam at 15* vs 10*, but still a decent throw. The housings were slightly diff than vX, so the lenses were just a hair short of working. A quick zip of a cutoff and they are compatible ;)

My Icom radio had been affixed via HD Velcro on side of console. Given that panel is textured it gave way every few months and wound up battling it with my ankles… finally hard mounted it up, but made new holes on the bracket and extended the channels . Now sits in deeper, and folded the excess bracket to be easier on the seat leather.

Also resolved this past year, after 1.5yrs, my navtv front cam is finally in operation. Thanks to Noah’s offered help, turns out It was wired up correctly all along, but a bad camera plug was all that stood in my way during that time.

For anyone looking to add a front camera using navtv, hopefully this makes things more clear…

Some avsw boxes and older instructions were labeled incorrectly for the trigger source… AV1 trigger (blue/white) should be the lower right corner PIN#8] This line is run to your switch source, in my case one of my upfitters. I grounded it to the center stack frame.

For the camera power, I ran the wiring into the cabin and used the same source as the AV1 trigger, which was my upfitter #3.

After a weekend of some rough trails I found myself without my rear camera, so some tape on the rca cables is recommended. Same goes for the camera RCA connection. Installing the AVSW where its accessible under the dash plate has been very helpful.

I run a Foutz/HF 1.5 ton in my bedrack mount toolbox, very compact and convenient, but is really only my emergency jack to lift a corner at a time. Picked up a C4fabworks skid form KHC to use with my HF 2 ton jack. This is much more suiting to lift one half a truck at a time to rotate tires or more serious repairs.

653B9E83-6ECA-4D4A-9887-373859C03B6A_zpsig2yoeei.jpg

Currently mounted it at end of the bed, but since ive never used my 2nd fuel jug , plan to repurpose that spot for the jack mount like the KHC rack does. If done on a slip fit, the 2nd jug spot is still available if the trip demands. Getting the jack mount up and out of the way, it frees up that space for more coolers of beer.
