Gas motors that become diesels = no good.

*See 350 Olds Diesel.

That's a gm motor and the 6.2 started on paper as a diesel and Was reengineered to be a gas motor it's still overbuilt as a block.

i love diesel motors. For me it was either a f250 6.6 diesel that i would of lifted crazy on 52's lol or a raptor.
Diesel prices here stay constant all the time 1.15-1.20 a litre. Gas 91 goes anywhere from 1.30 to 1.61.

I love diesels as well but diesel here seems to stay over 4$.

we had 2 of them in the family when i was little. they werent bad for us, but compared to todays standards they were boat anchors.

im a huge fan of diesels, ive had many, and still have a diesel excursion, but i think they are too much in a 1/2t, and the other motors put out good torque and mileage.

yeah diesel here is $1.23
barely ever flutautes. once it goes up, it either doesnt go down, or takes forever to do so.

saw one station today with GAS for 0.96/L for 87. their 91 was 1.07

every other station in the city, and out, 1.07 for 87. 1.15 for 91

4 quick reasons:

  1. Too heavy.
  2. Too expensive (more than gas motors and that would make the Raptor even more expensive).
  3. MPG benefit wouldn't appeal to the target Raptor market.
  4. More torque would be nice but not with the weight and cost penalties.
