It's funny to read that you all cannot top off the Raptor's tank. I can usually shove about another $1.50 or $2 in there after the auto shutoff.

The miles to empty display is maxed at 450. I've reset it going downhill and had the MPG's showing 99.9 or right around there. It seems strange that it would be capped at 450 since 14 MPG's (EPA estimate) x 36 gallons is 504. I got 15.5 on my way down to the Bay on Friday so the range would've been 558.

Is it tuned and/or have a cold air intake?

No sir. Factory intake, tune, and exhaust. The only mod of that type is a drop-in K&N air filter. Oh, and I radiused the ends of all of the tubes in the the intake tract, but neither would produce fuel economy.

Maybe there's a reserve of 2 or 3 gallons that the miles to empty doesn't account for?

I know that once my old Scab reached "0 Miles to E", it wasn't joking. I'm not pressing the new Screw that far.

I missed my exit and prayed to make it to the next one but didnt make it. The second I hit 0 miles empty she was down for the count. Luckily I had 5 gallons with me in gas can.

I've long waited the day to fill up after a long expressway drive. Yesterday was that day. The display is NOT locked at 450 on my crew. I drove a few miles around the corner to get this picture, hence the 4.7mpg. ;)
