Airbag dash light On

So my airbag light just came on and now stays on in the instrument cluster. It isn't the passenger one. Anyone have any ideas? I connected my OBD code scanner to it but it didn't list any errors related to that. Any info appreciated.

You’ll need ForScan to pull DTCs from the RCM. I have the OBDLink EX and it has worked well.

Do you have a custom steering wheel? Just wondering if the wiring is loose in there.

There's probably a dozen air bags, I would visit the dealer and get them to inspect. I think air bags are covered for a longer period than you would think, just like emissions I believe.

Well I found how to reset the light and now it is off and has remained so for a number of miles. Will keep this updated.

Well it came back - I'm gonna hook up ForScan tomorrow and see what I get.

At least find out if it's one of the seats or not. Bad sensor or something cheap hopefully.

if a DTC was set, Forscan will show it.

So I've been too busy (read lazy) to go out with the forscan but I finally put 2+2 together. The airbag light is only on when someone is in the front passenger seat...
