Finally got some info out of the neighbor on the mods to his G2..
I knew about the exhaust and intercooler, but he informed me he has different Garrett turbos, blow off valves, exhaust, **** injection, multiple tune profiles (all custom and done on the Dyno) etc, etc.
He has struggled with a few issues along the way as he had the system built from scratch, specifically getting a tune he is happy with.

So to say the lest, I feel pretty good that a factory installed Ford/Roush 6.2 runs pretty good against a highly modded TT Eco.

To be honest, the drag race and WOT is not really the game for these trucks, we use them in the dirt, and I still feel that the 6.2 just feels more fun.
I call ********. I beat a rouchecharged 6.2, in my 2013 tuned and exhaust eco.

Good info and fun times. I have a local forum member with a new Raptor and not sure what mods he has but we both have big tires etc. I have more weight with my shell and winch etc but we plan to run them and will try and get it on video so people can see how a tuned Gen 2 (I think he has that) vs my Roush/VMP with my companies 10% lower does. I know my truck makes 10# of boost on stock headers on 91 pump here at elevation. Will be a fun time and two different trucks with two ways of making power. I'm sure people will argue one way or the other no matter the results I just want to have fun and see how they match up.

Being an old guy Ive grown up with V8s. I love the sound, just cant help it. Ive built mostly big block Chevys and Pontiacs as in 454,s 455,s. Small blocks were a hell of alot lighter and cheaper to build. Im am amazed how much power these new motors make, how reliable, how fuel efficient. One thing seems to be a common denominator. I just cringe when I hear a 6 or 4 cylinder...yes,even if its blowing buy me.

Bit of a ridiculous comparison. A brand new (not broken in) stock truck vs a highly modified truck. Oh, producer built the modified truck.

Then they race on public roads... gen1 is a great truck and so is the gen2, but the video...

Like the opening comments said the neighbor says his 17 is still better then the modified gen1.

600+hp sc truck vs stock 450hp truck... I would hope the gen 1 wins....stupid comparision.... now if they both dynoed around the same number would be interesting and make sense

What I would like to see is both trucks doing a longevity test with both pushing 650hp. Something like a 500 mile desert race then a follow up with something like the Silver state classic. That would be a definitive answer to what is the best all arounder....Yes?
