So I'm 600 miles into this adventure and the check engine light has come on. I have noticed some rough shifting between 3-4th gear but it was so intermittent that I didn't think it was a concern. Welp light is on and I'm taking it in asap. Let you know as this unfolds.

I hope it’s something simple and it’s resolved quickly.

I don’t think this is some sort of epidemic, NOT to make light of OP’s issue here, but let’s keep in mind how many trucks are in the field vs. how many have had failures.

Unfortunately I'm not able to get the truck in until Tuesday so I keep telling myself what you mentioned above to keep myself sane. I've had the truck 10 days. It still has the temp tags.

Cr@p. That’s not a good showing, for sure. I hope this goes well for you. Please keep us posted.

I know this doesn’t help you but I have been through a defective vehicle before, when I was 19. That sucked as I was not on solid enough financial footing to make that work. It took a while, 14 months actually and with about 6 weeks of down time at the dealer but eventually the truck was replaced.

Things have come a long way in QC, reliability and customer service since then. My sincerest hopes that you are back on the road quickly.

Thanks. I'm hoping I'm just jumping to conclusions based on other experiences on here.

If you have a obd2 reader, can you pull the code and see what it's throwing? I wonder how many of these issues are a result of low fluid fill at the plant.

I don't have one yet. I hate to say it but I've been hesitant to buy anything for the truck just in case something like this happened.
