Quick question, where is the engine placed on the 2012 Raptor Scab: is it in front of the front axle, directly above the front axle, or behind the front axle? I am hoping to hear it is behind the front axle for best handling performance.

Thanks

PS-I meant to post this thread on the general forum section...whoops! Sorry. Hoping I can still get the answer though...

the front tires are pretty far forward, so i would say over and a little behind the front axle. thats just eyeballing (and drunk) atm , i was just outside looking at the tires and front end on my 2011.

This is the only mid-engine truck in the world. I heard they wanted to help balance the weight for stuff like jumps... :D

You guys do actually understand what he's asking, right?

I do recall the weight distribution being pretty good (for a pickup)....it was less than 60% front I think. My old Sierra was 64/36, but that was an ext cab 6.5' bed.

Yes boss. Didn't get a chance to check this morning and update with a serious input. But I will do so once my bro gets back from borrowing it...

Looks like if you look at the oil filter access panel and where the oil-pan is, it looks like it's decently centered over the front axle, but a little forward.

Okay I went out and took some pictures this morning. I would say very little of the engine is in front of the axle most of it is above or behind it.

Is the first picture look where is the coolant reservoir is relative to the tire.

In this next picture look where is the coolant reservoir is relative to the engine.

Edit: I am not sure why the pictures are sideways. I will try to reupload them or post new ones later. These will work in the meantime though.
