How do you guys (that actually have your truck) like this? My 04 gets pretty dirty in there because its not sealed. There are gaps and the door has no seal. Did they change things when they went to this capless thing? I see in the pics that there is a gasket on the door but what about the rest of the filler area? I looks neat but it also looks like a potential problem.....

Mine has not been too bad so far. I was at a gas station this week and ran into another Raptor owner. He puts a golf ball in filler neck to try and keep it clean.

Ford has a cap for it that costs about $20-$25. I'm thinking of getting one once my Raptor arrives.

That's hysterical. Invent a "capless" filler system, then turn around and invent a cap for it. Brilliant!!

It's an answer to a question that was never asked...

Mine isn't terribly dirty inside. It's nothing that a few minutes of cleaning couldn't take care of.

The cap is a locking cap.

It was just a suggestion for those who may seriously be concerned about this situation. Sorry if it's off tangent.

So I guess its a non issue? It just goes against logic. Here we have an off road vehicle that is potentially subjected to lots of dirt and dust, so lets not put a gas cap on it. It sounds like an idea from the fuel filter sales guy.

I've never seen any dust inside my fuel door after off roading. I can't imagine a ton of it would be getting in there.
