Maybe I'm a little off base, but isn't it a tad weird that no major automotive blog/magazine etc has done an in depth review or first drive yet?

Normally you see first drives months before a launch amd we are practically here, I mean some of you should receive orders in a few weeks.

They rushed to make a MY21 and announced it just in February. Dealers near me have a grand total of zero new F150s on the lots so I think Ford is far less concerned over its halo truck seeing press tours than what the average consumer would like to think. To me it's sad, but not surprising, that there have been no actual first drives or test mules more widely available from a review perspective. Im just happy to be getting one at this point.. Hopefully this year.. ha!

You beat me to it - this is a specialized build and not what Ford builds its capital off of. They are worrying about getting as many regular F150's out there as possible. Raptor owners (while they pay a pretty penny) are second fiddle.

First reviews will come from actual buyers' cars. Not press/dealer demos. Whoever gets their Raptor first could be sitting on a dollar or 2 if they are halfway charismatic on camera with halfway decent camera skills. Replicate the car reviewers' vids of guys that have a million+ subscribers.

If you had an order in and were told that there are delays to parts shortages, would you be annoyed to see the press get Raptors for reviews while you wait?

While I agree that Ford doesn't really need these reviews to sell Raptors, obviously, I think the bigger factor is that they would rather be getting working vehicles to paying customers right now.

Ford did their own video months ago, that was enough for me, even though I’m not upgrading yet, more waiting to see if something better comes along in a year or two.

I've seen 2 in person so far which led me to order a regular model and now a 37" one. It's a weird year for cars and trucks and like others have said there aren't many test vehicles making the rounds. I wanted to get a Powerboost hybrid after driving one but i decided to get back into a Raptor...or 2. Well i'll sell one of them, just don't know which, i just want one at this point.

This will be similar to the Bronco. Once the first Broncos were in customers' hands, the actual drive reviews came pouring in. They are all over YouTube now. I would expect the same for the Raptor.

I'm planning to jump mine across a creek, live on YouTube. No aquatic species will be harmed
