Afternoon all,

So my first search for Gen 1’s here in Ottawa:

1. $15kCAN, 2010, 270k km, 5.4 V8 in red, SCAB. Looks stick .

2. $35kCAN, 2013, 230k I’m, 6.2 V8, in new paint, 1.5 inch lift and new shocks, brakes and air filter.

Questions:

Should I avoid the 5.4? It looks like I need to spend some effort on her, not an issue.

The 6.2 looks awesome, but is modified, which normally puts me off. But these mods look good and suspension and brakes are more maintenance.

Thoughts team?

FINALLY.

A new FRF who is NOT trying to make 100 posts to sell their Raptor...

I’d be looking really, really hard at the entire suspension system on a truck with this kind of mileage. Unless the shocks are recent, they’ll likely need rebuilt but OE bushings and what not need to be checked as well.

just by looking at the pic of the shock, it has not been done right...

theres no solonoid, which means the shock valve is closed giving full firmness...you could add on an SDI Eclick system and make them work, but at the least a live valve delete from RPG should be installed..

the 5.4L is good, but its also 100HP less than the 6.2L,

id probably go for the 2013 and do something with the shocks..just noticed the airbags..
