Gas tank and cost difference?

Speed is a big factor too. Running 75-80 is gonna lower it but 60 does pretty well. The computer usually says over 500 when I refuel on a trip but I fill up before I get below a quarter so I'm not sure how far you could actually go

Same here.
60 MPH gives me about 15-17 MPG. (540 - 612 bone dry)
65 MPH gives me about 13-15 MPG. (468 - 540 bone dry)

the absolute best MPG I have gotten was 18.8 MPG going 60 MPH on flat land.

In a serious note and the fact that i was intimidated by reading the hugs gas mileage sticky, where does that 1800rpm come from. The efficiencies of the system as a whole? Cause I know that's how they derive the city and hwy mpg numbers on the sticker. Our helos have similar numbers too that are derived from the efficiencies of the entire system.

Drag increases exponentially with the square of speed so this makes sense as the truck isn't exactly cutting through the air like an arrow.

I did a 4 hour trip today averaging around 80 and averaged 12.4.
