I ran the diagnostics tool using my nGauge and to my surprise it came back with a p1548 (engine air filter restriction) code. I was surprised because the truck itself was not giving any error codes. Upon further investigation I found the intake mouth was not fastened to the body and as a result the skirt was folding in on itself. I am assuming that was the problem, but the nGauge is still reading the same code. Does anyone know if I need to clear the codes before running the diagnostics tool again or should the code clear out once it is fixed?

It will go away on its own, but it may take several drive cycles. Just go ahead and use the ngauge to clear codes and it should be fine. If you have questions about the ngauge, go to the MPT web site and go to their ngauge support link.
