Mileage on new 23 Raptor R

Traded 2018 Raptor for 2023 Raptor R. So far the mileage is atrocious—7.5-9 mpg. I’m heavy on the gas but so what? I didn’t expect the EPA numbers know those are high but I wanted to get 10 or better. The expense is one thing but more important to
Me is the limited range. Even w a 36 gallon tank I won’t get far. My V6 Raptor got 13 and could go close to 500 on a tank. Dealerr says it will get better w break but I don’t know

You’re not going to get a lot of sympathy for poor mpg. if you get on the highway and stay on the highway at steady speed, you should be able to pull 11... maybe 12 mpg.

You can probably do better than single digits eventually. I was able to get 12 with my TRX, and that wasn’t with too much babying.

Staying out of the supercharger is your best bet, but then again isn’t that the point of having an R

13 mpg on the V6? Sounds like 7.5-9 mpg is about right for an R. If you could get EPA numbers on the V6, you could probably get EPA numbers on the R.

Nice truck for sure. Im sure the premium fuel in CA is a killer at 7.5mpg

Buy a prius if you want good mileage. The R is smiles per mile. A supercharged V8 on 37s will not yield good gas mileage.
