Guys, keep this kind of stupidity out of this thread.
The intent of my original post is to determine if icon is valving these too stiff from the factory...

Now us gotta admit it was innovative and funny as hell. Man pick up the phone and call Icon. The make the highest quality stuff I have ever seen.

You're not helping.
You also must realize that the fanboy theatrics associated with this topic get old real quick, and generally spiral out of control.

I did pick up the phone and did call icon.
They offered to do a revalve, which would have helped a little, but it was the digressive nature of the damping and the high spring rate that were as much the root cause of my dissatisfaction as anything else. Nothing you can do about either of those.
This thread was as much about putting the information out there for people on what to expect from the 3.0 offerings as much as it was about my own personal quest for suspension excellence.
There were too many unknowledgeable statements like " The make the highest quality stuff I have ever seen " without any factual information attached to it.
This led me to buy the wrong set of coilovers for me, as I'm offroad more than onroad.

I'll go to new lca's and the 3" external bypass up front. Then I can tune things to my hearts content.

when you say tune you mean remove and rework the valve stacks on the coilovers.
