Just got my 2023. All is fine but noticed sticker came off in the driveway. Did Ford really attach the sticker (rear axle) and then paint the black undercoating only for the sticker to fall off and expose the non coated bare metal?

Dont you paint and then attach sticker? Or take the sticker off prior to painting. Serious WTF

well, in fact , in our trucks and almost all others, the frame and under parts paint has nothing exceptional , I think the best thing is to put a second paint/protection against rust...what I have begun to do on mine...easier to do when truck is still "new" ! And before to go in snow or salty environement which destroy an untreated underneath.
And to finish, Ford should learn it's better put sticker after paint  industrial process...

At least your truck doesn't look like these new platinum and limited trucks sitting on the dealer lot.

My 2023 arrived and has a few issues… exhaust rattle, front bumper looks like it was damaged before it was painted, the lower grill has the opening for the engine block heater, which my truck doesn’t have…

Wondering what else I’ll find.

If they put the sticker on and then painted, why is there no black paint on the sticker? There’s the real mystery.

They painted over original sticker and probably just printed a new one to put in it’s place.

Ford must leave those rearends sitting outside until they are ready to use. Thats crazy how rusted it is on a brand new truck.

Remember seeing all those parking lots just full of trucks just sitting there waiting outside in the lovely Michigan weather for months/years….yeah those are all getting sold as “new”…

Speaking of that, I wonder what will become of all those 2021 Superdutys just sitting and rotting.

Does anyone else just see this as just surface rust? Sitting on a dealer lot for a week in a Midwest winter would easily get you more than what’s shown in pics.
