Dreaded Waterspots

Ever watch people clean their boats after a day at the lake? That's where I picked this up. I use a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water after washing my vehicle, as I'm drying. Lightly mist and wipe dry. You'll be amazed at how any waterspots are destroyed and it actually leaves a great shine on good paint/clearcoat. Depending, I either follow up with at least a quick detailer spray or an actual wax.

Now I've heard people say that the vinegar will "damage" the clearcoat. However, as I mentioned above, people do this with their gelcoats on boats. I've been doing it for years on numerous vehicles with absolutely NO adverse affects whatsoever! :rockon:

most of the "water spots" you see are a result of alkaline cleaners and vinegar(an acid) neutralizes the water
