Mine came with a 20 year/200,000 mile power train warranty over and above the normal Ford warranty, plus I paid to extend my bumper to bumper out to 7 years for around $2300. If I don't use it, I get all but $50 back.

When you buy this extended warranty and sell the car or trade it in before the 7 years, guess what you loose your $2300.00 and the warranty even though you never used it.

Good info...this is exactly what I was worried about with these. My dentist now has the same attitude...pay me cash and you deal with claiming the insurance.
Also reminds me of those ads I see on TV for life insurance for people over 60 no questions asked. Good luck to the family who tries to claim on those.

Im in the professional repair industry and I am the guy that has to call the claims in and deal with the extended warrantys.

Let me preface this first - outside of the OEM warranties (Ford, GM, etc) Those extended warranties are ABSOLUTELY WORTHLESS!!

SOOOO many people waste their money on them. The average person I see here spends about $1800 on them. They might pay 10% of the claims I call in. Max out a labor rate, want to use used parts, say its not covered, try every excuse in the world to get out of fixing it.

We are just about to the point of not accepting them any longer. We have also talked about maybe a $69.95 "administration fee" for the headache of having to call them in and then HOPE they send you payment. A normal phone call for a claim is at least an hour long process.

Bottom line - I hate extended warranties.

i did, i got mine from randy tho, i dont remember exact numbers, but when i asked my buddy who works for Ford service dept. he said i got a damn good deal. and mine is for 60k at 5k intervals. i also got the $0 deductable on extended warranty, so i can bring it in for any small ******** thing and not pay a dime. the difference in price was 4 visits i wanna say.... and we all know a ncha small shit can happen, and i just bring it in and make em do it.

i your unsure, call Randy, you can still get the warranty thru him at a good price and he will shoot ya straight.

my brother in law has owned a couple shops over the years, he loved when people came in with 3rd party warranties... he said he never had a problem with them, yeah took more time to get the money, but they never fought him, he just submitted a bill and a couple weeks later he got a check.
