I can promise you Ford is not selling the ESP plans at a loss. I choose not to buy them, and have never been wrong. I have a fleet of 28 trucks, and with all 28, I don't think we have come close to the esp on one of them. I am somewhat demanding, and expect my trucks to run, because they are money makers for me. That is just my experience. These are almost all 350's with the 6.2.
