Beauty ring corroding wheels. Has anyone else with the stock Gen 1 wheels have this happen where water gets trapped between the rings and corrodes?

I could see a tiny amount of this oxidation on my spare on my gen 2.
I put a coat of Fluid Film on the bare alloy.
The factory wheel paint isn’t the greatest and the gen 2 wheels made in chuynah
