Can someone explain to my why Crutchfield thinks that this 6 3/4 speaker fits in a F series truck?

Thanks. I don't plan on cutting anything.
I was just surprised that crutchfield said that it fits.
Is there a door speaker thread with recommendations?

5X7 and 6X8 speakers fit... A 6.5 fits as well but you need a trim plate to use so it fits... As Nosbusa said get Focal if you go that way. You can find the adapter plate on crutchfield... Otherwise step up big and get in to component sets and add a amplifier to the mix and you will have a great sound quality....

Wait, So I only need an adapter to get 6.5s in the doors?
No cutting metal?
And yes, Focals are the ish. I kinda like Nertz too. But I reallly dont feel like installing an amp for the door speakers. But I might get around to it.

Looks simple enough. I wonder how good it seals though? Maybe dynamat it before install?
I may give it a try.
