Air Recirculation button shuts off

Anyone find this annoying ?..I really don't feel like inhaling diesel fumes from the truck in front of me...!
Any way to shut this off?

I think the truck learns your preferences with the a/c, I kept turning the recirculate on for a few key cycles and now it will stay on between them

Might have to manually select the outlet vents as in defrost it can't recirculate since it pulls the air in from defrost vents.
