GEN 1 6.2L Exhaust Manifolds

With the 2011 turning 290,000km (180,000miles) the exhaust leaks were starting to get to me. So I decided to replace the manifolds, hardware and gaskets. I had never done manifolds on a 6.2, I remember how much I hated doing the 5.4L which is why I have been procrastinating this job for so long. It was not the most fun job in the world but it is done now and it is nice and quiet again. Anyone else done their manifolds yet? I honestly contemplated just pulling the motor.

I replaced with headers and you are correct, the worst mod I’ve done to date. I’m sure the stockers will be a little easier to manipulate into position, but still not for the faint at heart.
