Hi there. Full disclosure I do not have a Raptor, but what I do have is a beautiful 2020 Limited with the same power plant. I decided to join this forum over others because of the similarities between the power plants. I’ve been browsing the threads here for most of the past few days and have already found a wealth of information. The conversations seem to be productive for the most part as well. The information and discussion here was a better fit to my curiousity.

The truck only had 100 test drive miles on it when I bought it, and I got an amazing deal just under $10k MSRP (came out to even after TTL). I feel that I had a bit of an online crush on this particular truck checking up on it at the dealer website almost daily until I finally pulled the trigger.

This is the first brand new vehicle I’ve purchased and first truck that I’ve owned, but obviously not the first I’ve driven. I’m coming over from the Subaru WRX platform, so am somewhat familiar with turbocharged applications. My WRX was moderately modified, and I already have an itch to improve upon this phenomenal truck too. I’ll likely wait until the warranty is up though. I was particularly drawn to the Limited over the Raptor specifically because I didn’t have a need for the off-road capabilities. I wanted to have the same power plant with a truck that doesn’t draw as much attention. I hardly ever see a Limited on the road whereas there will be at least one or two Raptors on every drive. That’s not to knock everyone on here who does have one. It just suited my personal needs. My end goal with the truck is to make modest, reliable power gains and just take care of it for a long time.

Enough of me talking. Here is the beauty:

Another reason I kind of wanted to trade is because next year the Limited will not have the Raptor engine.
Well then, the "Limited" moniker may be well earned. Is it 4 wheel drive? I bet it's nice on the highway.

I already saw the limited will have the 3.5PB motor in it. Ford can’t sell that truck for all that money without a premium motor in it. But the question is, will the PB setup in the Raptor be the most potent in the lineup to compete against the TRX for one? The limited does have a 4x4 option with locking rear.

I was under the impression the Rear end was a 4.10 in the limited as well. I would recommend a tune and intercooler. If you are worried about warranty just the intercooler. It will help a lot. Congrats
Window sticker says 3.55 electronic lock rr axle — no charge.

The Limited did not always have a premium engine. I think it used to come standard with a 3.5 eco boost.
Yes it comes in 2wd or 4wd.

Yes it is 4wd.

So yours has the 4x4 option. Most I have seen are 2WD. So you have the optional locker too. Gears may be an option, but still wouldn’t think it would be 4.10’s. The Raptor needs them with the 35” tire and being it’s an off road truck.

Does your truck have an AWD mode or just 4L and 4H? I know the 3.5HO has been in it for the last couple of years. Lincoln has been using them in the latest big vehicles as well.

Yes it has AWD, 4H and 4L modes. The 2019 and 2020 Limited had the Raptor engine.

It’s alright man. You can just keep on scrolling if it doesn’t make sense to you. I think I explained fairly why I decided to pop into this forum. Enjoy your truck
