Question....that video is from a year ago...have you been living with it for that long or is that someone else's truck?
As all fans (radiator and intercooler) are electric, maybe try unplugging them to diagnose? I've not ever done that, so not sure what that would take.
Also, here is a video...
You can find some good info in your Raptor Supplement Manual.
My 2019 manual shows:
AUX 1/2 are good for 15A ea
AUX 3/4 are good for 10A ea
AUX 5/6 are good for 5A ea
You should be able to get the amp draw on your lights from the mfg.
I find it interesting that the dealer states “you must have a tune loaded.” Also, if your ADD iniercooler was causing a trans over temp condition, surely they would have seen the codes? But yet again, nothing to support the dealer speculation.
There is so much speculation as to what Ford will...
Having read this thread and learning about the cracked plugs, I recently came across a guy on the U-Tube University (FordTechMakuLoco) that often warns of side loading the spark plugs on installation and risking damage. He repeatedly shows/uses a wobble type extension when installing or...
Thanks for the feedback Jimmyjamm....
Since asking that question, I've got a hold of the Forscan module and made a few changes, including adding the numerical display above the engine temp gauge. This is so much better, knowing where I am at on the heat spectrum and will be a great tool when...
On an island approximately 20mi long by 5 mi wide, how much driving does someone actually do there?? I mean I drive 35mi each way to work.
I bet my fuel costs are still more at just under $5/gal than the avg Joe in Aruba at $7.50.
Life is different on the island mon!!!
Hey jimmyjamm....like you experienced, I see temps into the mid-230s (no warning lights/alarms) and am not comfortable with these high temps, regardless if it is "normal".
Question on the 180 t-stat, did you do anything to change the radiator fan on-off temps and what are you regularly seeing...
Just a follow up on the plugs for non-tuned 2019 Raptor, is the SP 578 still the recommended, as listed in the Raptor supplement manual, or something else? Also what gap?
Thanks
Raptor newb here looking for some advice. Apologize for the long post in advance......
Just picked up a 2019 (completely stock motor/tune) with 45k miles. It is a Ford CPO vehicle ,but still, I plan on servicing fluids/wear items so I have a baseline on service records. The dealership did have...
I have been lurking around on this forum until recently, hoping that some day, I'd join the Raptor club. Well, that day will be here this Friday and I'll I'll be picking up my CPO 2019 Raptor. As it relates to the ESP, I'd like to say that due to information found on this forum, I'm saving...
Great observation.....I missed that and to me thats what I needed to know.
I wonder if a Ford dealer would be inclined to provide any service info from the VIN?
Thanks 2020.....yep...looking for the pavement princess for sure.
This is not a need to purchase, but a want to purchase. I have no urgency in the matter.
Hey all!!
Looking to become an official member of the Raptors Owners Club soon but have a some questions about two 2019 Raptor's (802A) I'm looking at, regarding the "Carfax" report.
Aside from the normal "car maintenance and title type reporting" there are a few items listed by Ford Motor...
