best mods to keep truck running forever

Ditto. Do not follow Ford service intervals. Those were made to get you through warranty and that's it. Change all fluids regularly. Check out Ford tech makuloco on youtube. And since you have a steel body, look into wool wax for the frame and underside, and clean and fluid film the rockers.

    SHOCK TOWER CRACKING

Dude, I just check out your business website. I know you said you did yacht support, however those are some bitchin villas. Have you ever stayed at any of them? I guess that goes for the yachts to.

Respect in Canada, haha. Haven't seen much of that around these parts lately.

    New to the Raptor world

I was told the 2010s did not come with the 6.2L badge on the side. Mine does not have it either.

Wow, congrats on finding such a pristine example! I bought the same Raptor, 2010 Molten Orange, 6.2L SCAB last fall here in Canada. However it is high mileage and I need to replace the rockers in it. Paint has also lost it's shine. I did get it for quite cheap though. What did that one set you back?

6K sounds like a lot. However the other day I spent 6 hours just getting the bed bolts out. After snapping my torx bit, I welded nuts onto them. Got 3 out that way, the other 3 broke the metal clips, so had grind/cut them out. Add in fender flare clips, paint primer etc. etc. It adds up...

Nice truck! Do you know if the 6.2L emblem came on the 2010? Or if it was added later. I would 100% treat the rockers once you blow them out.

Nice, I really like this colour scheme. Do you have the digital mud splash as well? After watching Born in Baja, I still smile when I look at it. The best thing would be to pull off the tape, blow the rockers out real good, and use fluid film or Wool Wax. When you blow the rockers out, the big...

Lol, it does feel like an adoption! Being a first model year, I figure it deserves to be treated right from here on out. I might only summer drive it.

Wool Wax is a lanolin/woolgrease product. Like fluid film. It is for preventing rust inside panels and on the underside/frame. It requires yearly application. There are a few youtube videos that show trucks that have nearly no rust after 6 years of use, however it is a little messy. Better...

The truck came from Alberta, bought at auction in Saskatchewan, now trying to license in Manitoba. I think someone from the rigs had it because it has a cell phone booster in it and the frame is full of dust. I mean tons of dust everywhere.

The pictures seem to wash the colour out. The seats don't look as bad as they do in these pics.

Right around 200k miles. Figure it went to auction because of the rust and a CEL. It was a broken wire to the charcoal canister and cost me $0 to fix. I ordered replacement rockers from Mill Supply. They look like quality pieces. Drivers side rocker. I had started cutting away the rocker...

Hi All, I've been poking around the forum for a while and decided it was time to check-in. I picked up a high mileage 2010 6.2L late in the summer at an auction. Paid the equivalent of 11.2K USD for it. So far I've changed all the fluids including a total flush of the coolant system, as it...
