Having owned VW, Audi, BMW and even my son's Hyundai over the past 15-20 years I've grown accustomed to the complimentary loaner cars when bringing in for service. I was stunned when the rep at my dealership just told me they don't offer loaners for anything but warranty service when I was just...
Just did this to my 2020 Perf Blue SCREW that was only 3 weeks old, so the paint was in excellent condition. Referencing the products I used, but there are obviously many similar products from other manufacturers.
1. Pressure washer rinse
2. Adams Strip Wash
3. Adams Iron Remover (there was...
It did move & I was the high rev that made me realize I was in Manual mode, not Drive. The temporary loss of power and very rough shifting surprised me as something like that shouldn't happen just from hitting high rev's in 1st gear as I did.
Will definitely look into FORSCAN. Have similar...
Your process is exactly what is going on in our house right now. I've always driven BMW, with an Audi Q7 thrown in there along the way. My wife is saying that in a few months I'll be taking the keys to her BMW and leaving the Raptor in the garage. Right now I'm realizing the Raptor will cost...
Haha... but certainly not THAT kind of BMW owner. Jeans & zip hoodies here with a lot of DIY modifications over the years. Also always thought I was good at driving until I went to the BMW performance driving school in South Carolina. Being encouraged to push an M class car to it's limits...
Hoping this is nothing to worry about, but not even 150 miles on the odometer & the wrench shows up on the dash and a "Powertrain malfunction/reduced power" error pops up on the phone.
Shifted out of park and went one too far to M. When I went to accelerate into traffic out of parking lot...
A lot of VERY helpful info here, especially as it relates to driving an X5 vs the Raptor.
So helpful was the info that I’m posting this while waiting at the dealership for the truck to be cleaned so I can take it home
From a financial aspect, I'm also looking at the Raptor thinking worst case scenario if I do end up not liking it, I'm currently seeing 30k mile Raptors listing for $60k. I'd still be able to walk away from it cash positive.
Well, in terms of what I owed vs what I got for trade/sale.
* Also...
I'm not really thinking about the performance because where the Raptor has more power the BMW has far better handling. But really, where am I going to max out the performance of either if talking about daily driving? I would be far, far more likely to take the Raptor off road than I would be...
The practicality aspect is what is having me consider trading in the X5. I'm always doing things around the house and frustrated jamming things into the back of the X5. I know I'd use the bed.. a lot. It will also fit in my garage, by a few inches. But it fits. I'm just looking at the thing...
Have the Raptor sitting in my driveway right now. Dealer let me take it overnight as they were closing in 30 min & need to make a decision by morning. Would be moving from a BMW X5 & curious if anyone here has made such a dramatic shift in vehicles.
Vague comparison, but love the drive of...
I've shared many of those cringe worthy moments when sitting at a salesman's cubicle listening to the people one desk over.
Sadly, most people would be perfectly content with $300/month for 10 years over $500/month for 5 years. Who cares that it cost $6k more over the course of the loan!
Oh, I completely understand that. I was just putting the MSRP vs invoice in a vacuum to show how the "dealer invoice" price really mean nothing when negotiating. You know the deal, the salesman says "Hey, I'm selling you this at $500 over my cost and I'm not making anything here". IF the...
New to the forum, and doing my research on pricing on the Raptor I started doing some math.
Hypothetically, lets assume a dealership has $10 million in revenue from vehicle sales alone. ALL of those sales came at MSRP. The "dealer invoice" is 9% under MSRP, so in this case the dealership's...
Just used TrueCar here in PA (suburbs of Philly) and had 4 dealers immediately give prices on Raptors with MSRP's ranging from $68-74k & all of them were 6.8-7.4% under MSRP. Not a bad starting position to walk into a dealer with.
