    Pro Clip Phone mount anyone?

I've run one for a couple of years, have had a ProClip holder in each of my cars going back 15+ years. The F150 mount is pretty great, nice height - top of the dash - I was worried it'd block some of the view off center, but honestly - not a factor - and it's much easier to see your phone than...

    Overlanding racks, whatcha got

Running the Front Runner SlimlineII with the bed rack mounting kit. Have an Ultragroove Metal tonneau under it. Definitely going to go with upgraded Deaver leaf kit (+3’s I think). Truck had RPG mid-perch on the front when I bought it … the combo of all that weight out back and lifted front...

    Low Oil Pressure Warning

May be unrelated to your issue - but when I went through an intermittent "low-oil-pressure" warning - turns out my bearings were shot. Best suggestion is to see if you can find a shop that will put a reader on the truck while it's running that'll show oil PSI real-time. My oil levels were...

Ultimate Bed Build and Custom Dual Battery System

Understood - I think yours and OP setups are probably the most "hands-off" once you're set up and running. I'm guessing you've got years before you need to worry about batt. degradation or any parts of the system failing. What do you think about LiPO4 setups? They're not "new" but the...

GEN 2 360 Camera Blue Screen

I get that, intermittently, on my rear cam and then sometimes all the surround cams. Usually first thing in the morning - after a rain - which leads me to believe there's water in the truck (somehwere). I also get the (very festive) test-pattern look seen below ... pardon the pollen, pic from...

Ultimate Bed Build and Custom Dual Battery System

Yeah - I've been hemming/hawing over building something like what you've got there - but for portability and cost I'm kinda leaning this way. I'm also worried about digging too far into the Raptors electronics (though the RedArc stuff is solid and trustworthy enough). I've already got a cheap...

Ultimate Bed Build and Custom Dual Battery System

Yeah - so just in the 1000 WH set ups ... Jackery Explorer 1000, you can get it for like $900. Add a 100W solar panel for off-grid charging or just connect to a 12v outlet in the truck while running...

Ultimate Bed Build and Custom Dual Battery System

That's solid work, dude. I had been toying w/ building out a dual-bat setup like this... but I got hung up on the costs vs. costs of Solar Generators. Rough estimate, would you say you've got about $1K into just the battery/wiring/fuses/etc (not including bed cover/bed rug/builtright panels)...

    Transmission fun - part 2

No - there was a neutral-safe condition going on there... engine was freewheeling while the indicator was bouncing around. I don't doubt it wasn't engaging in any gear at that point. The issue was it went from gear engagement to this neutral-safe and you would just not move. And then once it...

    Transmission fun - part 2

Update for anyone still reading here - put about 1,000 miles on the truck since the last tear down/rebuild ... and everything seems to be working really well (knock wood). I'm not having any trouble when the truck is cold, no hard-shifts, no hesitation or flare-shifting at speed. Did some...

    2020 Transmission Issues ...

Hey - for what it's worth I just went through some similar BS w/ my '17 ... whole post on here from a few weeks back. https://www.fordraptorforum.com/threads/transmission-fun-part-2.82164/ I had really hard 1-3 shifts (similar to get hit from behind ... ) and then it went into this wild...

    Transmission fun - part 2

No - I mean it was acting hinky (hard shifts and hanging on that 1-3 shift) before the motor came out. I kinda chalked it up to the motor being bad ... but after I got it back it went downhill quickly. The 1/4/1/4 shift dance started a little after and then it just got worse, progressively.

    Transmission fun - part 2

Yeah - I mean if I had the option, I'd go brand new... but w/ the Warranty Co. flitting the bill, they insisted on rebuilt. Plus side, my Transmission guy added in those upgrade Raybestos friction discs at no add'l cost... so if I get it sorted, should be better than new.

    Transmission fun - part 2

Technically only "rebuilt" once ... disassembled twice. I got the full VIN history from this shop too ... early build (first service was done Feb/17). I don't know if that's part/parcel to these issues, but it was an early-bird (remember reading about some issues w/ the early '17's). This...

    Transmission fun - part 2

So the yellow arrow is pointing at the press-fit sleeve. You can kind of make out the wear pattern where the gaskets rode. Note how a few are much wider ... indicating the movement they think we’re seeing.

    Transmission fun - part 2

Small update - got the truck back (Again) yesterday. My shop thinks they've solved for the "why" ... wasn't the TCM. One of the 2 "barrels" in the trans has an "issue" that's not being discussed. There's a press-fit sleeve w/ fluid passages that rides on the main shaft and holds...

    Transmission fun - part 2

This issue was the main reason I finally brought it in for repair - so the rebuild was needed (likely owing to the root cause of this ... TCM (maybe) being bad). The shop rebuilt the guts of the 10r80 ... thought that was the problem. Turns out there's likely some kind of control issue, which...

    Transmission fun - part 2

Realistically - if I hadn’t just bought it (last year) and didn’t owe as much as I do... I’d prob cut my losses and move on. But, once we get this sorted - it’s a brand new driveline. Theoretically, it should run another 150,000 miles after this with only minor issues. But if I can squeeze...

    Transmission fun - part 2

Yeah. Calm because I dealt with that issue for a while before I brought it in to get rebuilt. Annoyed? A little. I like my transmission guys, they tore the whole thing back down to check clutches and make sure I wasn’t already damaged again. They’re in there trying to find a solution. I’m...

    Transmission fun - part 2

Some of you may've read my other thread - '17 SCREW, 10r80 needed a complete rebuild w/ only 72K Miles. So I get the truck back last Thursday - long story, but the learn-in process once programmed is extensive and my shop guy is going through how he wants me to run it for a couple of weeks...

    Engine oil question

I have an older build - '17 truck - but had the same issues. Don't trust the "momentary" low pressure situation. I had the same setup as you, turns out mine was reading high single digits PSI on a an analogue gauge and turns out my bearings were completely shot. Many more miles *70K* but I...
